Project Status Terminology

These project statuses are used on the IT Project Roadmap.

Proposed- A project has been submitted through official channels and is to be reviewed/scored by PMO and approved by ITSSC and CIO

Queue-  If approved by ITSSC and CIO, this next project in line to start IT work.

Planning-  IT PMO team works with client and IT resources to determine timeline, specific milestones, deliverables, testing plan

In Progress-  IT Technical work commences, client testing

Hold-  Project work pauses due for various reasons- vendor unresponsive, severe technical impediment, project reprioritization,

Complete-  IT officially closed project and marks accordingly.  Any further work with solution will entail service request, enhancement request, or new project request with approval.

Recurring/Maintenance- A task or process that is scheduled to be performed on a regular basis and requires significant oversight for team members.  Banner updates, monthly desktop patches, and maintenance windows all fall in this category.

Monitoring- IT technical work has been completed and project handed off to client in production.  Brief period to leave project open until sufficient time has passed (2 to 4 weeks based on project scale)
